Eli C. Neal, CPA, ABV, CFF
Forensic Accounting and Business Valuation Analyst
Eli joined Cogence Group as an Associate in 2016 and works on forensic accounting engagements and business valuations. Eli has worked on a wide range of matters since joining the firm. His favorite types of projects include economic damages in litigation, multi-year financial forensic investigations with lots of data, shareholder disputes, and business valuations. He is also a front-runner in providing professional services to the Portland cannabis industry.
Eli prides himself on clear communication with his clients and his ability to meet their deadlines.
Prior to joining Cogence Group, Eli was an Auditor at Ernst & Young in both Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. At EY, Eli gained experience understanding his clients’ needs and managing projects to completion with a focus on quality and timeliness. Eli was recognized as a top Ernst & Young performer on the West Coast in each of his years with the firm.
Eli graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Washington in 2012. While in college, Eli was President of his fraternity – Alpha Epsilon Pi and enjoyed a summer study abroad trip to Italy where he met his wife, Jamie. In their free time, Eli and Jamie enjoy rooting for their Huskies, bike riding, hiking, playing board games, and visiting family.
Eli is a licensed CPA (Certified Public Accountant), ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation), and CFF (Certified in Financial Forensics).
