Eli C. Neal, CPA, ABV
Forensic Accounting and Business Valuation Support
As an Associate joining the firm in 2016, Eli provides support on forensic accounting engagements and business valuations. Prior to joining Cogence Group, Eli was an Auditor at Ernst & Young, LLP in both Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. During his time at EY, Eli performed information systems audits and financial statement audits for clients in various industries, including technology, power and utilities, and retail – consumer products. At EY, Eli gained experience understanding his clients’ needs and managing projects to completion with a focus on quality and timeliness. Eli was recognized as a top Ernst & Young performer on the West Coast in each of his years with the firm.
Eli graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Washington in 2012. While in college, Eli was President of his fraternity – Alpha Epsilon Pi and enjoyed a summer study abroad trip to Italy where he met his wife, Jamie. After graduating, Eli completed the exams and experience requirements to become an officially licensed Certified Public Accountant in July 2014 and a Certified Information Systems Auditor in May 2016. He obtained his ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation) credential in October 2017 and looks forward to pursuing a CFF (Certified in Financial Forensics) credential in the coming year.
In their free time, Eli and Jamie enjoy rooting on their Huskies, bike riding, hiking, playing board games, and visiting family.
